This workshop is designed as an introduction to content creation in VR. The goal is to learn about traditional visual language, experimenting with 360 cameras and other emerging technologies to create interactive experiences and understand the fundamentals of VR experiences.
This course will teach students how to make a simple, but complete, game using free software and tutorials. It will encourage independent use of information resources provided by the library, such software training available on Lynda.com and textbooks. Students should have basic computer skills and be comfortable navigating Windows and searching the internet. The course is intended for those thirteen and up but could be followed by anyone, depending on their level of experience. The goal is to promote learning through creative engagement and give students the skills and confidence to develop software independently or continue with more advanced classes.
